I gather that DJ Love's Budots Republic is a compilation, though I'm not knowledgeable enough to know how much is old and how much (if any of it) is new. The recording on it of the great "Tag Singko" goes back *at* *least* to 2010; here's the earliest upload I can find, Aug 1, 2010, a fan-made dance video of a medley mix of which "Tag Singko" is the first half:

That's the version I put on my Never Mind The Bollocks eardrums mix 'cos its musical fidelity is high, even if the fidelity of the visuals isn't. In the notes of the new upload, DJ Love credits DJ Francis as a co-creator. Also, I'd like to know what the second song (and maybe a third) in that medley is/are, since I like it/them even more! (Haven't finished the Budots Republic alb so maybe they're on it.)

Very strange, inexplicable YouTube malfunction this morning: when I changed the *captions* on four of my playlists, including Never Mind The Bollocks, YouTube *shuffled* *the* *order* *of* *the* *tracks* on the playlists. This is bizarre, 'cos Title/Captions on the one hand and Tracks On A Playlist on the other are two unrelated fields, so I don't see why one would have any affect on the other. Anyway, this was very disturbing to me, not just the strangeness but the fact that it messes up my work, my art, as it were, since I'm a man who is all about segues - e.g., I consider my going from Ed Rush/Trace/DJ Nico to Luscious Jackson a minor masterpiece. Fortunately, it only took me a few minutes to fix each playlist (three Eardrums and one Days Of Years Past, all relatively short lists) and so far they've stayed fixed. Added a track to another list - adding and moving tracks *is* part of the songs-and-their-order field - and everything stayed put. But I'm going to be really wary with YouTube for the next few weeks (ordering and reordering my private playlists is one of my basic day-to-day tools in thinking about music these days).
